Introduction
To update your MX records with this Domain Name System (DNS) provider, first understand MX records.
Steps
- Log on to the website of your domain hosting company with the username and password that are associated with your domain.
- Go to your DNS records (Look under the header domain name to find the domain you want to use with @Emailforward. Click Config to the right of it. Under the headline DNS records (A / MX / CNAME) click continue. Look for the header define scope MX records. Under the headline My own MX server, select 'Use my own MX server (FDQN).)
- First, delete the current MX records that send mail to your old email provider. After that you'll add new MX records for @Emailforward.mx.
- To direct your email to your @Emailforward.mx account, you have to add new MX records to your domain. These are the records that you need to add: mx1.emailforwardmx.com with Priority 10 and mx2.emailforwardmx.com. with Priority 20
- Click save.
