Introduction
To update your MX records with this Domain Name System (DNS) provider, first understand MX records.
Steps
- First, call 01 800 026 0000 option 4, and ask Triara to change the DNS records so that they direct your mail to Google. Ask the representative to remove the MX records that refer to Triara.
- First, delete the current MX records that send mail to your old email provider. After that you'll add new MX records for @Emailforward.mx.
- To direct your email to your @Emailforward.mx account, you have to add new MX records to your domain. These are the records that you need to add: mx1.emailforwardmx.com with Priority 10 and mx2.emailforwardmx.com. with Priority 20
- To follow up with Triara, send an email to [email protected] asking for them to make a change in your MX records.
Be aware it may take as long as 72 hours before DNS changes are propagated, depending on the time to live (TTL) that was configured for your records. Until records have been updated worldwide, you will still receive traffic to your old server.
